I am now 68 and I can say that sweeter and sweeter as the days go by is the love of Jesus. He is faithful and He is a promise keeper. I did nothing to earn this, and I never will. It is all Him, but I know that I know without Him I would fail but with Him and in Him and through Him I am an overcomer. My address since 1964 has not been in this old world. Oh, there have been many temptations come my way that promise to bring me pleasure and satisfaction appealing to the instant gratification this flesh wants. But they are all empty, and a lie, they will leave you not only disappointed, but they can leave you defeated, desolate, broken empty, ruined and even in eternal death, if you don’t have Jesus. Life apart from Christ is death but Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill, and destroy, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. “John 10:10
- Because Jesus is the only Perfect sacrifice and the only One that could pay the debt I owed. On that cross the demands of God were met, and the work was finished. Death no longer had victory, sin and Satan were defeated and soon the Holy Spirit was to be sent to call each of us by name saying oh sinner come home. It is our choice to say yes or no. But it is true, I have faced many temptations, trials, and testing but I never from that day forward, have I had to face anything alone. Let it be that I be found faithful to Only and Always Trust and Obey Him. To God be the Glory for the great Things Christ has done.
- Jesus said “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you.”” If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am there you may be also. “And you know the way where I am going.” John 14:1-4
No longer do I sing the Double mint gum song, but this is one of my favorites and pretty much my theme song that describes my life and says what I hope everyone will hear the truth of this song. Oh, and if there be one reading that does not have this relationship with Jesus that I have talked about maybe you too are just now coming face to face with your sin as I did, may you listen for the call of your name and do not turn Him away but go to Him and say yes take my life and make me Yours today. You know, I cannot trust the best 5 seconds of my life to get me to heaven or to save my soul, or give me new life, only Jesus can do that, so please hear my testimony, and heart and know this Jesus loves you.
